Hyderabad, May 11 -- Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao criticised Pakistan for violating the cessation of hostilities with India, calling it a serious offence and warning of possible consequences.

Speaking to the ANI, Rao said, "We were ready for a ceasefire and an amicable discussion. But then, Pakistan attacking us again means that they are not interested in a truce."

He called Pakistan's action a serious offence and stressed the possibility of similar attacks in future.

"This is a serious offence. It is possible that they can do anything today as well. A war will be declared, as no one will accept this. Who will lose in this? Pakistan and its people. Already, there's no development in Pakistan," Rao stated.
