New Delhi, Feb. 3 -- Union Minister Jitan Ram Majhi on Monday, defended the Union Budget 2025-26, stating that the criticisms from the Opposition are expected as they view it as their duty.
However, Majhi emphasized that many experts and leaders have praised the budget as balanced, focusing on key demographics like women, farmers, youth, and the middle class.
"The Opposition considers it their duty to criticise the Budget...Many economists, political leaders and experts have said that it was a balanced Budget which focused on women, farmers, youth and the middle class...This Budget is for everyone..," he said.
