New Delhi, Dec. 6 -- The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India is being seen as a success with both sides moving to strengthen the 'Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership' by broadening cooperation in several sectors, including trade, nuclear energy, defence, and science and technology.

Sammy Kotwani, President of the Indian Business Alliance, said the India-Russia partnership marks the opening of a new global era.

He said, "The Russian side has clearly come out and told what you want to listen. They are looking for East and without India, East is not possible.
