Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- Former Foreign Secretary, Lalit Mansingh, on Saturday said that India's Operation Sindoor was not intended to start a war or fight the Pakistan army, but only to hit at the centres of terrorism within Pakistan.

"Many countries have an interest in dealing with terrorism. 9/11 happened in the United States. It was an act of international terrorism, and America took action and finally got Osama bin Laden from Pakistan," Mansingh told ANI.

He pointed out that in the Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces hit the headquarters of the terrorist organisations in Pakistan with pinpoint accuracy.
