Jaipur, June 8 -- Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Kirori Lal Meena on Sunday criticised the increasing cases of adulteration in agricultural products and warned farmers and traders against mixing harmful substances that can have severe consequences.

Speaking on the issue, Meena emphasised the detrimental effects of such practices on consumer health and the farmers themselves.

Using the analogy of "one fish making the whole pond dirty," Meena cautioned traders against engaging in such malpractices, stressing that guilty parties will face action.

The minister assured that tests are conducted on seeds and fertilisers, and samples are collected and analysed. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
