New Delhi, March 27 -- BJP MLA Shikha Rai has stated that addressing disruptions caused by namaz in public spaces is a matter of public convenience rather than a religious issue.

She asserted that while everyone has the right to practice their religion, it should not interfere with public order.

"This is not a religious issue but a matter of convenience. If any encroachment in a public place causes inconvenience, voices will be raised against it," Rai said.

She further added, "The freedom to follow one's religion should be limited to oneself; it should not interfere with the freedom of others."
