Purulia, April 23 -- BJP West Bengal chief and Union Minister of State for Education, Sukanta Majumdar, on Wednesday issued a strong warning in response to Tuesday's terror attack in Pahalgam, saying that those responsible will face severe consequences and that "no one will be spared" in connection with the gruesome act.

Speaking to ANI in the aftermath of the tragic attack, Majumdar condemned the act and said that India had responded strongly to terror in the past and will continue to do so under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He noted that it was a "planned" attack on the Hindus, implying that the terrorists enquired about the victim's religion before killing them.
