Mumbai, Sept. 6 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday affirmed that no country can dictate India's foreign policy.

His remarks follow US President Trump's remarks, where he called the India-US ties a "very special relationship" and affirmed that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would always be friends, asserting that there is "nothing to worry about".

Speaking to reporters, Fadnavis said, "PM Modi is great, and even the Prime Ministers and Presidents of other nations considered him great. This is PM Modi's new India, and it decides its foreign policy on its own. No one can dictate our foreign policy. Even if someone does not come with us, we will move towards becoming 'Viksit Bharat'."
