New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 began on Saturday, with over 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools in India and abroad appearing for them.

The exams are being conducted from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM across 7,842 centres in India and 26 locations abroad.

On the first day, Class 10 students are taking the English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) papers, while Class 12 students are appearing for the Entrepreneurship exam.

"I have prepared well for the English exam today. I am very confident. I have revised everything well," said a Class 10 student in Delhi.
