Sambhal, Oct. 4 -- After a Samajwadi Party delegation was stopped from visiting violence-hit Bareilly, party MP Iqra Hasan on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, accusing it of suppressing dissent and "denying people their democratic rights".
The SP MP alleged that the administration, "acting under pressure from the ruling party", has been curbing the freedom of citizens and representatives to move freely and voice their concerns.
