Bengaluru, March 22 -- Pro Kannada organisation held a 12 hour bandh in various parts of the state on Saturday to protest the incidents of violence against Kannadigas. Several activists alleged that the police had prevented them from a peaceful protest.

However, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda on Saturday said that no detentions have been made, while the pro-Kannada activists found to take out a rally or procession have been taken to Freedom Park.
