Balurghat, June 23 -- Union Minister Sukunata Majumdar lashed out at the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led West Bengal government, saying that there is "no democracy left here" after a 13-year-old girl died in a bomb explosion in Kaliganj.

TMC workers were celebrating the party's victory in the Kaliganj Assembly bypoll when a bomb exploded, severely injuring the minor. She later succumbed to her injuries.

Speaking with ANI, Majumdar accused TMC workers of "hurling bombs" at the Communist Party of India (Marxist) workers during their victory celebrations.

The BJP leader reasoned that the TMC worker was trying to "scare" CPI (M) workers in order to get Muslim votes.

"They (TMC) hurled the bombs. We have been saying that there is no democracy...
