New Delhi, April 21 -- A senior Congress leader, Surendra Rajput, on Monday strongly criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey, describing him as a "traitor" and demanding that the party initiate action against him. He also urged the Supreme Court to take cognisance of Dubey's recent remarks, calling for the MP's membership to be terminated.

Speaking to ANI, the Rajput said, "Dubey's statements suggested the possibility of a "civil war" in the country and questioned whether the BJP MP was acting at the behest of foreign agencies. Is Nishikant Dubey an agent of ISI? Has he met foreign militant elements?" he asked.
