Dehradun, Oct. 8 -- Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat on Wednesday said that the new Uttarakhand Minority Education Bill 2025 will halt the pace of modernisation in madrasa education.
While speaking with ANI, Harish Rawat said, "During the government of Shri Narayan Datt Tiwari, some steps were taken to bring madrasas into the mainstream of inclusive education, which all subsequent governments have continued to work on further."
"The impact and side effects of this new step will be known in the future. However, I am concerned that this may halt the pace of modernisation in madrasa education," he added.
