New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal on Monday expressed grief on the passing away of actor Dharmendra, saying that the nation has "lost a true legend of cinema."

In a post on X, KC Venugopal paid tribute to the 'He-Man' of Indian Cinema, highlighting his impact on Indian cinema and culture.

"The nation has lost a true legend of cinema. I join crores of fans in mourning the loss of stalwart actor Dharmendra ji. His performances spanning 7 decades left a huge impact on Indian cinema and culture. My condolences to his family and fans in this difficult time," KC Venugopal said.

The 'He Man' of Indian Cinema, who had been unwell for some time, passed away at his Mumbai residence at the age of 89 on Monday.
