Lucknow, Feb. 8 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday slammed opposition following the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the Delhi Assembly election, stating that they are on the path to becoming a "Samaptawadi party" (a party headed towards extinction).

This comes after BJP secured a resounding victory in the Milkipur Assembly bypolls, where its candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan won by a thumping margin of 61,710 votes against Ajit Prasad. In Delhi, also clinched a comfortable win over AAP, securing 48 out of 70 assembly seats.
