Mandi, July 29 -- Leader of Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Jairam Thakur, on Tuesday expressed concern over the heavy rains that have caused widespread damage in the Mandi region since Monday night.

Speaking to ANI, Thakur said, "Since last night, it has been raining heavily in Mandi. We received information about the massive damage in the region. Till now, we have known that 3 bodies have been recovered and one person is missing. The NDRF teams are conducting the rescue operation...Such massive damage has never happened in this region. It is a matter of concern. It is still raining, so I appeal to everyone to follow all the precautions."
