Nagpur, Sept. 20 -- NCP MP Praful Patel on Friday defended former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, calling allegations against him "baseless." Patel emphasised that no government can compromise on terrorism and added that had PM Modi been in power after 26/11, he would have ensured incidents like Pahalgam would not have occurred.

Speaking to ANI, Patel said, "Can anyone in this country say that Manmohan Singh was not a patriot?... All these claims are baseless. Terrorism is terrorism, and no one can compromise with terrorism...today, under Modi's leadership, there is no question of compromising with terrorism...during our government at that time, we saw how 26/11 happened in our country. There have been other terrorist attacks in our count...
