Kolkata, Aug. 4 -- BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul on Monday criticised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of spreading a "fake narrative" about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Bihar.
Paul claimed that Banerjee is trying to exploit Bengali sentiments to prevent the SIR from happening in Bengal. She alleged that IPAC is creating fake videos and attempting to manipulate public opinion.
Paul emphasised that the SIR process will be implemented in Bengal, just like in Bihar, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls.
She asserted that the BJP will not allow illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh or Rohingyas to influence Bengal's electoral process.
