Siliguri, Jan. 31 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday addressed a Karyakarta Sammelan in Bagdogra, West Bengal, launching a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress, accusing them of dividing society and weakening the State.
Shah alleged that the Mamata Banerjee-led government had damaged Bengal's social unity by pitting communities against each other. The Union Home Minister also said that Mamata's tenure was nearing its end.
