Panchkula, March 20 -- Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Thursday condemned the Punjab government's action against protesting farmers, calling it a conspiracy to defame them.
Speaking to ANI, Jakhar says, "All this was done as part of a conspiracy to defame the farmers, and it shows low-level politics. Until now, they used farmers' names, but today, they razed farmers' tents with bulldozers."
On Wednesday evening, Punjab police removed the farmers from the Punjab-Haryana Khanauri Border and Shambhu Border, where they were sitting in protest over their various demands.
Earlier today, Congress MP Imran Masood criticized the central government for focusing on irrelevant issues while farmers continue to struggle.
