Mehsana, June 19 -- Former Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel on Thursday asserted that, given the development, the people will certainly vote for the BJP in the Visavadar and Kadi by-polls in Gujarat.

"I am confident that Kadi will see more than 60% voter turnout. BJP has been winning from this seat. Looking at development, people will certainly vote for the BJP," Patel told the media after casting his vote.

The polling began at 7 am on five seats across four states, including the Nilambur seat in Kerala, the Ludhiana West seat in Punjab, the Kaliganj seat in West Bengal, and the Visavadar and Kadi seats in Gujarat.

The results will be declared on 23 June.
