Rameswaram, April 6 -- A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Pamban Rail Bridge in Tamil Nadu, BJP leader K Annamalai highlighted that the lift bridge is designed so that after the train completely passes over it, the structure lifts upwards.

On the inauguration of the new Pamban Railway Bridge, Annamalai told reporters, "The lift bridge is designed so that after the train completely passes over it, the structure lifts upwards. Only after the train has fully crossed and exited the bridge can it be operated again. That is how the system has been built."
