New Delhi, March 25 -- In the ongoing controversy surrounding stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Tuesday emphasised that the police should take appropriate action against him, adding that Kamra has now realised the consequences of his actions.

"Police have summoned Kunal Kamra for an inquiry. Kunal Kamra disrespected Eknath Shinde... Kunal Kamra should apologise, and the police should take action against him...There has been a reaction to an action. After insulting Eknath Shinde, Kunal Kamra realised what happens," Athawale told ANI.
