Ranchi, April 15 -- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Spokesperson Manoj Pandey on Tuesday said that the Centre cannot impose the Waqf (Amendment) Act on the states, adding that his party does not support the act in any manner.
"We believe this Act is not right. It's wrong to impose the Waqf Act on states. A resolution has been brought against it," Pandey told ANI.
Commenting on the controversy surrounding Jharkhand Minister Hafizul Hasan's recent remarks, Pandey defended the minister, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of targeting individuals when lacking a substantive agenda.
