Kolkata, April 27 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kalyan Banerjee on Sunday slammed BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari for his "fake Hindu" remark, saying that BJP only consider those who chant Jai Shree Ram Hindu.

Speaking to media persons, Banerjee said, "Is he a real Hindu? According to the BJP's Hinduism, all the Hindus of West Bengal who follow the Hindus of Gujarat, the Hindus of Uttar Pradesh, eat veg and say Jai Shree Ram are Santani Hindus. According to them, any Hindu who says Jai Shree Ram is a Hindu."

Banerjee's remarks came after West Bengal Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari alleged that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was a fake Hindu.
