Hyderabad, March 28 -- BJP leader N Ramchander Rao on Friday slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after her remarks at Oxford University's Kellogg College in London and emphasised that it was important for Indian leaders to respect their country on foreign soil.
Speaking to ANI, Ramchander Rao said, "Mamata Banerjee, in her visit to the UK, while addressing students at the Oxford University, did not support the view that India might become number one on an economic power in the world. She disagreed and differed with students, after which there was a lot of heckling by the Indian students. It is very important for the Indian leaders to respect their country on foreign soil."
