New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- BJP leader Vijay Goel on Saturday expressed concerns over the implementation of the Supreme Court's directives that stray dogs would be released after sterilisation and immunisation, and dedicated areas for their feeding would be created.

Speaking to reporters here, the BJP leader expressed concerns over the "2000 dog bite" cases reported daily and asked if the Supreme Court or NGOs fighting for stray dogs would take responsibility for them.

Goel said, "I welcome the Supreme Court's order, but its implementation is very difficult. There are more than 12 crore dogs in the country, and more than 10 lakh dogs in Delhi alone. Every day, 2000 dog bite cases are reported. The Supreme Court has said that every dog should ...
