Guwahati, April 17 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday emphasised the need for India to acknowledge and respect the ideological divide between India and Pakistan, following Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir's assertions on the deep-rooted differences between the two nations.
In a post on X, he said, "Given these declarations, it's imperative for us to acknowledge this reality and move beyond aspirations of fostering closer ties with Pakistan."
