Noida, March 19 -- Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Kumar Nishad on Wednesday clarified his "breaking the hands and legs of seven inspectors" statement and said it was made in self-defence during a 2015 rail protest.
Speaking to ANI, Nishad explained that when the CRPF, guarding central government land, started firing on protestors, the protectors turned into predators, forcing them to act in self-defence.
He urged that the context in which the statement was made should also be highlighted.
