Patna, Oct. 25 -- Independent Purnea MP Pappu Yadav on Saturday hit back at an income-tax notice that, he says, has treated his distribution of relief funds to flood victims as a "crime". In response, Yadav asserted that if helping the needy is considered a crime, he is prepared to "always commit this crime."

In a post shared on X, Yadav said, "I have received an income tax notice; it has labeled distributing money to help flood victims as a crime. If this is a crime, then I will always continue to commit the crime of helping every deprived victim!"
