New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar condemned the alleged dowry murder of Nikki Bhatti in Greater Noida and questioned how society could act like this.
Rahatkar called it a matter of grave concern and urged swift action in the case.
Speaking to ANI on Monday, Vijaya Rahatkar said, "...I strongly condemn this incident. Daughters are not our property that we would do whatever we feel like with them. There have been movements in the country to end such malpractices. Those malpractices have taken up a new form now; this is a matter of grave concern."
