Dehradun, July 6 -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday extended his warm wishes to the Tibetan community and the people of India on the occasion of the 90th birthday of His Holiness Dalai Lama.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami announced that the Buddha Temple road would be widened and a tin shed would be constructed at the Tibetan crematorium.

The Chief Minister said, "His Holiness the Dalai Lama has shown the world the path of peace, non-violence, and compassion. His teachings are even more relevant in today's times when the world is facing many challenges."

"Dalai Lama himself says - "My religion is compassion" - this idea makes him the true spiritual guru of the world," CM Dhami added.
