Jhajjar, Aug. 20 -- Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and Jannayak Janata Party Chief (JJP) Dushyant Chautala on Wednesday condemned the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, calling it a "great threat to the future of democracy". He urged the Delhi Police to take strict action against the perpetrators.
"The incident is highly condemnable, and the rise of such incidents in elected politics is in itself a great threat to the future of democracy. I strongly condemn it and urge the Delhi Police to take the strictest possible action in this matter," Chautala told ANI.
Meanwhile, CM Gupta, breaking her silence hours after the attack stated that she was "shocked", and was feeling better.
