Siliguri, Oct. 22 -- Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar visited a hospital in Siliguri to meet BJP MP Khagen Murmu on Wednesday. He said that he was recovering slowly and advised him to have a check-up at AIIMS, New Delhi, after being released.

MP Murmu was reportedly attacked by some locals while he was visiting flood-affected areas in Jalpaiguri's Dooars region in West Bengal on October 6 to oversee relief and rescue operations, whereupon, he sustained serious injuries to the head.

Speaking to reporters, Sukanta Majumdar said, "Today I met Khagen Murmu. He is recovering slowly, the part where he was hit is very sensitive and every time it moves due to chewing or talking. As a result, it is taking some time to recover. So, I feel within a...
