Patna, April 6 -- Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's upcoming visit to Bihar on April 7, Union Minister Giriraj Singh claimed that the Congress MP would be awed by the development in Bihar that has taken place under both Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Speaking to ANI, Giriraj criticized the Congress for failing to eradicate poverty despite ruling the country for 60 years while highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government in lifting 25 crore people above the poverty line.

"He (Rahul Gandhi) should seek atonement instead. Congress ruled for 60 years and raised the slogan of removing poverty, but they couldn't eradicate poverty. The Narendra Modi government has lifted 25 crore poor people above the poverty line....
