Mumbai, Feb. 23 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday expressed grief over the demise of the former chief minister and Lok Sabha ex-speaker Manohar Joshi and said that the veteran's demise is a 'big loss'.

Speaking to reporters here, Thackeray said that Manohar Joshi always 'stayed' loyal to his party.

"It is very unfortunate. Manohar Joshi had seen many ups and downs in his life but he never left Shiv Sena, he always stayed loyal to the party... When Balasaheb Thackeray was arrested, he was one of those arrested with him. His demise is a big loss to the party," the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.
