Lucknow, Feb. 6 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday announced that the Hindi film 'Godaan' has been declared tax-free in the state.

The film 'Godaan' focuses on cow protection and has been recognised by the state government for promoting cultural values and raising awareness of cow welfare.

The announcement comes in line with the Yogi Adityanath-led government's strict measures to prevent cow slaughter. The Cow Slaughter Prevention (Amendment) Act was enacted in Uttar Pradesh under his leadership, imposing stringent legal measures against illegal slaughter activities.
