New Delhi, Feb. 3 -- Former Foreign Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Harsh V Shringla on Tuesday lauded the trade agreement reached between India and the United States, stating that the credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being patient enough to create a conducive environment for the deal.

In a social media post today, US President Donald Trump said that both countries agreed to a trade deal under which the US will charge a reduced Reciprocal Tariff, lowering it from 25 per cent to 18 per cent.
