Chandigarh, March 26 -- The Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa on Wednesday claimed that the state's financial condition is "very" bad ahead of the 2025-26 budget, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government of failing to fulfill its pre-poll promises.
Speaking to media persons outside the Punjab Assembly, the LOP blamed the state government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
He also criticized AAP for not implementing the direct bank transfer scheme of providing Rs 1,100 to women, a promise made ahead of the 2022 assembly elections by the party.
