New Delhi, July 30 -- Indian foreign policy has failed after US President Donald Trump completely "rejected' bilateral relations with India following imposition of 25 per cent tariffs on our goods, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said on Wednesday.

Speaking to ANI, Tariq Anwar said, "With this, in a way, US President Donald Trump is rejecting India-US relations. This is a failure of our foreign policy."

The Government late evening said that it has taken note of the statement by the US President on bilateral trade.

A statement by the Commerce and Industry Ministry today said that India and the US have been engaged in negotiations on concluding a fair, balanced and mutually beneficial bilateral trade agreement over the last few months.
