New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- Congress MP Manickam Tagore targeted the Election Commission of India, accusing former Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar and incumbent Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of undermining the democratic process.
Tagore alleged that the Election Commission has become a "department of the BJP," citing irregularities such as the case of Minta Devi, a first-time voter listed as 124 years old.
He demanded a parliamentary discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists and alleged vote theft issues.
