New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- Bharatiya Janata Party MP Praveen Khandelwal on Sunday termed the stampede at the New Delhi railway station that killed at least 18 people as "extremely unfortunate."
He said that the Railways has formed a committee to probe the cause behind the incident, and action will be taken against those behind it.
"The incident is extremely unfortunate where 18 people died. All of them were going to Maha Kumbh," Khandelwal told ANI.
"The Railway has formed a committee to investigate the cause of the incident, and action will be taken against the accused...The Prime Minister has also taken cognisance," he added.
The stampede happened around 10 pm on Saturday, when thousands of devotees were heading to Prayagraj for the Maha...
