New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Former Union Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Tuesday strongly objected to "offensive" statements on India made by US president Donald Trump and his trade advisor Peter Navarro, saying that there was no need to use such language given that the two nations were getting "closer".

Speaking to ANI, Tharoor asserted that India was being dealt "unfairly" when it came to the imposition of tariffs.
