Durgapur, Jan. 28 -- Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin on Wednesday condoled the death of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in a plane crash in Baramati.

Speaking to the media, Nabin said that the entire political world is saddened by Pawar's demise.

"Ajit Pawar was the son of Maharashtra. Today, the entire political world is saddened by his demise. We express our sympathies with his family," he said.

The NCP chief died in a charter plane crash while travelling from Mumbai to Bramati this morning. He was in Mumbai on January 27, where he attended a meeting of the Maharashtra Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
