Bengaluru, July 24 -- Karnataka Minister Eshwar Khandre on Thursday criticised the Election Commission of India (ECI), amid the Opposition's continuous protest over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in poll-bound Bihar.

Speaking to reporters, Karnataka Minister Khandre said, "Nowadays, it is clear that the Election Commission is running under the influence of the BJP. In one of the many cases where there were election violations, no action was taken against the BJP leaders. Real voters are being disenfranchised in Bihar. This shows that they (ruling) want to win the elections through proxy."
