Bengaluru, April 21 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that efforts are being made to examine the possibilities and bring the Rohith Vemula Act.

In a post on X, CM Siddaramaiah emphasized that the legal advisors have been instructed to prepare a draft of the Rohith Vemula Act.

"I have also written a letter to the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, regarding this. Efforts are being made to examine the possibilities and bring the Act," he said.

"The action taken by the students writing the CET exam on January 1 is illegal. Action should be taken only after considering the possibility of irregularities in the exam, and not unnecessarily imposing rules that go against the religious beliefs of others. ...
