Mumbai, Aug. 12 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday accused the Election Commission (EC) of failing to address the allegations of "vote theft" raised by Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and questioned whether the poll panel was acting above the court.

Speaking to reporters, Thackeray claimed his party had presented several examples of alleged voter list irregularities, citing names such as Aditya Srivastava, Shakun Rani and Minta Devi, whom he referred to as "the oldest lady in the world, 124 years old."

He alleged that such cases had played a role in the BJP's victories over the last five to seven years.
