South 24 Parganas, June 19 -- Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar alleged that stones and shoes were thrown at him by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers during his visit to Budge Budge when he was returning after meeting an injured BJP worker.

"I will inform the Home Ministry about this entire situation. They are doing such acts to destroy democracy. Bricks, stones, shoes were thrown at me. TMC sponsors the entire demonstration... Most of them must be people from Bangladesh who are doing hooliganism here," Union Minister Majumdar said.

He further said that police were inactive and did not ake any action against the miscreants.
