Patna, April 17 -- Hitting out at the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his remarks on the Waqf Amendment Act, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday said that people of the Bihar does not want their state to turn out like the West Bengal.

Singh was responding to the remarks made by Tejashwi Yadav, where the RJD leader stated that "Waqf Amendment Act would be thrown in the dustbin" in Bihar if RJD is voted to power in the upcoming Assembly polls.

"Tejashwi Yadav said that when he comes to power, he will not allow the Waqf Amendment Act to be implemented... Do they want to turn Bihar into Bengal? Are they reminding people of Bihar of the Murshidabad incident to turn this into Bengal? People of Bihar do not want to turn the state into Benga...
